FOR SOME OF THE LAYERS VELOCITY PROFILES WERE MEASURED ALONG THE POROUS SURFACE AT VARIOUS STATIONS BUT ONLY VALUES OF THE INTEGRATED PARAMETERS (I. E. DISPACEMENT THICKNESS, MOMENTUM THICKNESS AND H) ARE AVAILABLE. FOR OTHER SUCTION RATES (F = 0, -0.0020, -0.0053, -0.0099 AND -0.0144) TURBULENCE MEASUREMENTS (U1U1, V1V1 AND U1V1) WERE MEASURED AT ONE STATION 0.4 M DOWNSTREAM OF THE START OF SUCTION. IT IS SUGGESTED THAT THIS TURBULENCE DATA FORM THE BASIS OF A SIMPLE DATA SET STARTING FROM A GIVEN VELOCITY PROFILE ON THE SOLID SURFACE 50 MM UPSTREAM OF THE START OF SUCTION. THE OUTPUT OF THE CALCULATIONS COULD THEN BE COMPARED WITH THE MEASURED TURBULENCE PROFILES AT X = 400 MM. IN ADDITION VELOCITY PROFILES AT X = 400 MM ARE AVAILABLE FOR THREE SUCTION RATES (F = 0, -0.0052, AND -0.0142) AND THESE COULD BE USED AS A FURTHER CHECK ON THE CALCULATIONS.
