DNS: Periodic Hill

The data on this page were provided by P. Balakumar.

This DNS case is for 2-D separating flow over periodic hills. The DNS was run using a compressible code, using a compact high order scheme. This is a similar case to that computed using LES with an incompressible code, documented on the page: LES: 2-D Periodic Hill; however this DNS is at a lower Reynolds number. These DNS results have been documented in the following publication:

DNS data are provided below. These results are from a grid with resolution 801x351x513 (streamwise, normal, spanwise).
