Return to: Turbulence Modeling Resource Home Page Fluent issues for the SA model
An important note for users of Fluent.
In some versions of the Fluent CFD code, the Karman constant was altered from 0.41 to 0.4187
(another anonymous report cites 0.387). It is easy to reset it to 0.41,
the standard value used in the official
SA model.
In addition, the density was inserted inside the derivatives in the SA governing equation,
which is non-standard.
Any non-standard implementation of turbulence models may result in solutions that are different from those
on this website and in verified codes. We do not keep track of code updates, so the issues described above may or may not still exist.
It is up to the user to determine.
