Axisymmetric Near-Sonic Jet Validation Case

Effect of Reference Mach Number
 

The plots show examples of the effect of different values of freestream Mach number on the computed centerline velocity (on the 49x49; 31x49; 129x113 grid). Note that the reference Reynolds number is also affected proportionally. Some CFD codes have difficulty computing with quiescent outer conditions, so M_ref=0.01 (red curve) is recommended as a reasonable compromise.
